Gregory Kraus, an automotive technology teacher at Amistad High School in Indio, has won a grand prize in the 2026 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence, receiving $30,000 for himself and $70,000 for the school’s career and technical education program.
